QuickShot Used for Gautrain Project

DetNet South Africa (Pty) Ltd in conjunction with AEL (African Explosives Limited) is associated with the largest infrastructure Project in Africa, The relationship with Gautrain is through Bombela Civils Joint Venture who is part of the Bombela Group responsible for the design, build, part finance, and marketing of the system for a 20 year period. Bombela CJV is responsible for the design and implementation of the civil works component of the Rapid Rail Link.

250 000 QuickShot Detonators Fired Underground

At the end of March, 2005 the 100 000th QuickShot detonator was fired at Waterval UG2 mine outside Rustenburg, South Africa. Waterval mine is a Bord and Pillar operation.
